Frantz. McConnell & Seymour, LLP traces its roots in the East Tennessee legal community to the autumn of 1902 when the firm of Cornick, Wright & Frantz was formed with offices in downtown Knoxville. Over the course of the next ten years they added Charles
M. Seymour (grandfather of current partner, Arthur G. Seymour, Jr.), Thomas G. McConnell and Robert M. McConnell. In 1920 the firm name was changed to Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP, and it has carried on the practice of law in East Tennessee under that name since that time. Over the course of the decades Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP has been active in the representation of individuals and corporations that have been an integral part of the stable growth and vitality of Knoxville, Knox County and the surrounding areas of East Tennessee. The firm has remained moderate in size, never having more than 20 attorneys, while staying current with developments in the practice of law in order to be effective in changing business environments.

Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP attorneys have contributed to the communities in which they have lived outside of the legal community. They have been active in civic and school organizations; they have been leaders in the churches and charitable organizations; and have served their country in military service during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
