MICHAEL W. EWELL - concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, commercial litigation, civil litigation, ERISA and business law. Mr. Ewell graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1988. He served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable Houston M. Goddard, Tennessee Court of Appeals, Eastern Section during his third year of law school and joined the law firm of Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP upon graduation. He has appeared before state and federal courts throughout East Tennessee, the Tennessee Court of Appeals, the Tennessee Supreme Court and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals on various civil matters.

Mr. Ewell is active in the legal community, being a member of the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the Defense Research Institute. Mr. Ewell is currently serving as a director on the board of the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute. He has served in various capacities in the Knoxville Bar Association and presently serves on the Board of Governors.

Mr. Ewell is active in the local community. He previously served as a board member and President of the Sequoyah Hills Early Enrichment Program (S.H.E.E.P.) preschool. He is active in cub scout leadership.
