MARY ELIZABETH MADDOX - concentrates her practice in the areas of general civil litigation, workers compensation, employment law, insurance defense, personal injury, and products liability. A 1994 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, she joined the law firm of Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, LLP in 1998. She has appeared before state and federal courts throughout central and eastern Tennessee, including the Court of Appeals and the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Ms. Maddox is active in the legal community belonging to both the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association where she served on the Board of Governors from 2001-2003 and the Task Force for the Future in 1999. She served as President of the Knoxville Barristers in 2002 and on the Governors Award Committee in 1998. In addition, she has served on the Pro Bono Committee of the Knoxville Legal Aid Society from 2004 to 2006 and belongs to the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Maddox is an alum of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law, Class of 2007 and serves as Co-Chair/Founder of the Working Parents Committee of the Knoxville Bar Association.

Outside of law, Ms. Maddox has served the community through the Junior League of Knoxville. Her positions there have included being the Operations Council Director from 2004-2005, the Parliamentarian from 2002-2003, the Membership Council Director from 2001-2002 and the Education & Training Chair from 1998-1999; and now sustainer status. Ms. Maddox currently serves on the Board of Directors for Character Counts and on the Board of the Florence Crittenton Agency. Additionally, she has served in the past with the American Heart Association.
